Monetization disclosure

How Urban Harvest Lab is funded.

Urban Harvest Lab does not currently participate in an affiliate program. Some articles retain ordinary retailer links as optional shopping references, but those links are untracked and generate no commission for the site. Last updated: August 24, 2026.

Current affiliate status

Urban Harvest Lab is not an Amazon Associate and has no active affiliate relationship with Amazon or another retailer. Retailer URLs do not contain an affiliate identifier, and purchases made after following them do not pay Urban Harvest Lab.

What this means for you

Product links remain only where they help readers identify an example or compare a product category. You can ignore them, buy locally, or use the selection criteria without buying anything. Programmatic advertising managed through Journey by Mediavine funds the site separately from these retailer links.

Future commercial relationships

If Urban Harvest Lab joins an affiliate program, accepts a sponsorship, or receives compensation connected to a recommendation in the future, that relationship will be disclosed clearly near the relevant content before any commercial link or endorsement.

Editorial independence

Recommendations are chosen for usefulness, not commission

A commission does not decide what gets recommended. If a cheaper option, a simpler setup, or no purchase at all makes more sense, that is what the guide will say.

Current status

Retailer links are not monetized

Existing retailer references are ordinary outbound links. They carry no commission identifier and do not create an affiliate payment for Urban Harvest Lab.

Reader-first policy

Sometimes the best answer is “skip it”

Some problems are better solved by changing the setup, not by adding more gear. When that happens, the guide says so plainly.
