A full-sun balcony sounds like the good problem to have, and for one narrow reason it is: it is the only exposure where tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and eggplant genuinely thrive rather than merely survive. But “full sun” gets treated as a single fact about a balcony, when it is really three separate things stacked on top of each other — how many hours of light the space gets, how hot that light makes a small volume of potting mix, and how a particular container handles that heat.
